Qualification
Sectoral practitioner for podiatry
Permission to practise medicine (Heilkunde) in the field of podiatry
In March 2026, I successfully passed the examination to become a sectoral practitioner (Heilpraktikerin), limited to the field of podiatry, and received the corresponding permission to practise medicine (Heilkunde) in the field of podiatry.
This additional qualification extends my work as a state-recognised podiatrist and allows me to examine and treat my patients independently within my podiatric specialism, even without a prior medical prescription.
What does this mean for you as a patient?
As a sectoral practitioner for podiatry, I am able to:
- ✓Assess complaints and pathological changes to the foot within the scope of the field
- ✓Establish a podiatric diagnosis
- ✓Decide which podiatric treatment measures are medically sensible and necessary
This means that, for relevant foot complaints, you can come directly to our practice without first having to obtain a medical prescription.
My areas of responsibility
My responsibilities include, among other things, detailed podiatric assessment, evaluating pathological changes to the skin and nails, and selecting and carrying out suitable podiatric therapy measures within the scope of my permission to practise medicine.
It is equally important to me to recognise where the limits of podiatric treatment lie. If there is a suspicion of a condition that requires further medical diagnosis or treatment, I of course recommend appropriate medical assessment and, where necessary, work together with doctors and other medical specialists.
Podiatry with medical responsibility
The combination of my training and many years of work as a state-recognised podiatrist, together with my additional qualification as a sectoral practitioner for podiatry, enables comprehensive care that is tailored individually to your foot health.
My aim is not only to treat individual complaints, but to consider their possible causes and connections, and to develop a suitable podiatric therapy together with you.
Healthy feet are an important part of mobility, independence and quality of life.
This is exactly what we want to support you with in our practice, with professional expertise and personal care.
