We come to you at home
Not everyone is able to make the journey to a practice. Good foot care should never fail because of this. For everyone who is not mobile for health, organisational or age-related reasons, we offer podiatric treatment as a home visit – in Memmingen and the surrounding communities.
Professionally, nothing changes. We work with the same equipment, the same sterile instruments and the same care as in the practice. What changes is the environment: you stay in your familiar surroundings, in your own chair, without travel, without waiting time and without stress. Many patients find the treatment noticeably calmer as a result.
Relatives can also be present if needed. This is particularly helpful when daily foot care between appointments is taken over by the family or a care service – we show you directly on site what to look out for.
Who mobile foot care is for
Limited mobility
When walking, climbing stairs or sitting in the car for longer periods has become difficult, the home visit removes the most strenuous part of the appointment.
Care needs at home
We treat in the presence of relatives or care services and coordinate the appointment around the daily routine so that as little disruption as possible occurs.
Care homes and facilities
For facilities in the Memmingen area, we plan fixed treatment days on which several residents are cared for one after another.
After surgery or a hospital stay
During the recovery phase, coming to the practice is often not possible. Podiatric care should not be paused during this time.
Diabetic foot syndrome
Especially with diabetes, regular checking of the feet is crucial. We work to the same professional standards at home as we do in the practice.
Little time in everyday life
Working patients also make use of the home visit when appointments at the practice are difficult to fit into their daily routine.
How a home visit works
Appointment request
You contact us by phone or email. We briefly clarify your complaints, the reason for treatment and whether a medical prescription is in place.
Preparation on site
We bring everything with us: sterile instruments, extraction technology, treatment pads and disinfectants. You just need a chair, a power socket and a little space.
Assessment and treatment
We first look at the skin, nails, pressure points and circulation. Treatment then follows – callus, nails, corns, nail fold or brace fitting.
Advice and next appointment
Finally, we discuss home care, suitable products and footwear. On request, we arrange the follow-up appointment straight away at the right interval.
A treatment usually takes between 45 and 60 minutes. For more pronounced findings or an initial assessment, we allow a little more time so that nothing is rushed.
Hygiene, even outside the practice
A home visit must not mean any compromise on hygiene standards. Exactly the same reprocessing procedure therefore applies on the road as in the practice:
- All instruments come from the practice in sterile packaging and are reprocessed there after each use.
- A separate set of instruments is opened for each patient – never a single set for several treatments.
- Single-use materials such as pads, abrasives and gloves are disposed of after treatment.
- Surfaces and equipment are properly disinfected before and after the home visit.
Catchment area and cost
We offer home visits in Memmingen and the surrounding communities. Whether your address falls within our catchment area is something we clarify in a short phone call – as well as whether treatment is possible on a medical prescription or as a self-pay service.
A travel fee is charged in addition to the treatment for the home visit. We tell you this transparently before the appointment, so you know what to expect. If a medical prescription with the note "home visit" is available, we bill this in accordance with the German remedies directive (Heilmittel-Richtlinie).
