Editorial
Editorial Principles
Health information carries responsibility. Our guide articles are created according to these rules.
Medical review
Every article is reviewed before publication by Helga Maria Freitag – state-certified podiatrist and sectoral Heilpraktiker for podiatry. The review date is shown clearly at the top of the article.
Sources
Our articles are based on clinical guidelines, professional literature and peer-reviewed studies. The sources used are listed at the end of each article and can be found in the PubMed database.
No promises of cure
We describe possible connections and the current state of professional understanding. We do not promise a cure, guaranteed results, or an effect that isn't backed by evidence.
Not a substitute for medical treatment
Our articles do not replace diagnosis or therapy. We explicitly state when medical evaluation is necessary.
Up to date
All articles are reviewed again at least every twelve months and revised when new findings emerge. Changes are indicated by the review date.
Independence
Our content is not paid for by manufacturers. If we mention a procedure that we offer ourselves, we say so.
Image labelling
Illustrative images in our guides are AI-generated symbolic images. They are labelled on the image and in the caption – in accordance with Art. 50(4) of the EU AI Act.
Language and clarity
Technical terms are explained the first time they appear. We write so that patients and their families can understand the text without medical training.
Handling errors
If you notice a mistake, please let us know. We review the feedback, correct it promptly and update the review date.
