Reliable care for your patients
Our practice is run by Helga Maria Freitag, a state-recognised podiatrist (Podologin) and sectoral practitioner (Heilpraktiker) for podiatry. We work on a findings-based approach, document every appointment and report any notable changes without delay – in particular emerging lesions, signs of infection, suspected osteoarthropathy or a deterioration in peripheral circulation.
On request, you will receive a structured therapy report at the end of each prescription. For urgent cases we offer short-notice appointments; for immobile patients we treat them at home or in the care facility as part of our mobile foot care service.

Prescribable items
Callus removal
Removal of pathological callus on one or both feet, each prescribable as an individual item.
Nail treatment
Treatment of pathologically altered toenails on one or both feet.
Podiatric complex treatment
A combination of callus removal and nail treatment – the most frequently prescribed item in practice.
Nail brace treatment
Orthonyxia for ingrown toenails (unguis incarnatus) within the relevant diagnostic group, including fitting, checks and replacement.
Checklist
Information required on the prescription
- Diagnosis and ICD-10 code (e.g. E10.– / E11.– stating the foot complication, G63.2, I79.2)
- Diagnostic group DF (diabetic foot syndrome) or the appropriate group for neuropathy or angiopathy
- Remedy per the remedy catalogue: PO1, PO2, PO3 or PO4
- Quantity prescribed and treatment frequency (usually 6 or 10 units, typically every 4–6 weeks)
- Statement of whether a home visit is required
- Request a therapy report if applicable
- Start of treatment: within 28 days of issue at the latest, unless a later start date is noted
Indications
When a prescription makes sense
- Diabetic foot syndrome with sensory disturbance or angiopathy (Wagner/Armstrong stages without an open lesion)
- Polyneuropathy of other origin with damage to skin or nails
- Peripheral arterial disease with hyperkeratoses or nail changes
- Post-ulcer status – recurrence prevention in a higher risk class
- Ingrown toenail (unguis incarnatus) indicated for nail-brace treatment
Scope of services
What we deliver for your patients
- Sensory testing with a 10g monofilament, tuning-fork test, pulse status
- Risk classification and photographic documentation of the clinical course
- Atraumatic removal of hyperkeratoses and corns (clavi)
- Nail treatment including onychomycosis reduction
- Orthonyxia and silicone orthoses for pressure relief
- Therapy report and immediate feedback in the event of lesions, signs of infection or suspected Charcot foot
- Home visits for immobile patients
